The Senior medical procurement specialist is responsible for finding goods and services for the hospital at the best value regarding quality and price.
-Ensure that the supply chain of the hospital is met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Review costs, develop relationships with vendors & suppliers and offer suggestions for where and how much materials and supplies to buy.
- Enters the requisitions to the Purchasing Follow Up system according to the assigned categories.
- Plans, coordinates, negotiates, supervises and evaluates supply preparation and distribution activities in cooperation with the requesters/users.
-Prepares the communications to vendors to obtain quotations and sample products.
- Coordinates with the requester and materials manager for price and product approval.
- Conducts price comparison and product analysis on the basis of quotations and samples provided.
- Raise the Purchase Order and obtain the management approval.
- Finalize with the purchase order with the vendor and follow up the delivery dates.
- Maintaining good Supplier relations and negotiation contracts.
- Coordinates with Warehouse for the delivery of the items and receipt thereof.
-Updates the requesters on their purchase requisition status from time to time.
- Closes the Purchase Requisition once it is delivered and received by the requesters.
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in medical purchasing

- Extensive experience of developing business specific contracts and agreements
