Dr. Karim Kamal Maurice is a Lecturer of General Surgery at Cairo University, specializing in bariatric surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, and oncologic procedures. He obtained his M.B.B.Ch. in 2008, M.Sc. in 2013, and M.D. in General Surgery in 2016, all from Cairo University. He is also a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and has completed Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.

Dr. Karim has broad academic and clinical experience, having served as House Officer, Resident, Clinical Demonstrator, and Lecturer at Cairo University hospitals. He pursued advanced clinical training internationally, completing a fellowship in bariatric and esophago-gastric surgery at Bichat – Claude – Bernard Hospital in Paris, and further training in advanced gastrointestinal cancer surgery at Showa University in Tokyo.

He is actively involved in teaching, clinical practice, and research, and is a member of the Egyptian Society of Surgery and the Egyptian Medical Syndicate. His work reflects a commitment to advancing surgical care through both academic development and international collaboration.
