Dr. Ahmed Hussein
Head of Perfusion Department – Al Nas Hospital
Dr. Ahmed Hussein is a highly experienced Specialist Perfusionist with over 15 years of expertise in adult, pediatric, and neonatal cardiac surgery, as well as ECMO support for both adult and neonatal cases.
He graduated with an M.B., B.Ch. from Assiut University in 2006 and began his career at Assiut University Hospital, where he worked as a Perfusionist from 2008 to 2014, covering adult and congenital heart cases. He then joined the Aswan Heart Centre, founded by Prof. Sir Magdi Yacoub, serving as a Senior Perfusionist from 2014 to 2019.
Since 2019, Dr. Hussein has been the Head of the Perfusion Department at AlNas Hospital, leading the team in advanced perfusion practices and life-support technologies.
