Dr. Mohamed Donya is a Canadian-Egyptian radiology consultant and Director of Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging at Al Nas Hospital, a position he has held since 2019. He specializes in advanced cardiac imaging, with a particular focus on Cardiac MRI.
He obtained his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and M.D. degrees from Kasr Al Ainy, Cairo University, before pursuing specialized training in Cardiac MRI in both Egypt and Canada. He completed his fellowship at McMaster University, Canada, and earned the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), United Kingdom.
Dr. Donya worked closely with Dr. Jonathan Grynspan, a pioneer in the field of Cardiac MRI, and was later appointed Head of the Radiology Department at the Aswan Heart Centre, where he joined the team of Sir Magdi Yacoub as a leading cardiac imaging consultant.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Donya has authored multiple scientific publications, participated as a speaker in international cardiac conferences, and contributed to the training of medical students and consultants in advanced cardiac imaging. He is widely recognized as a prominent figure in the field of cardiovascular radiology.
