Pediatric Hybrid Cardiac Interventions
Our Pediatric Hybrid Cardiac Interventions Program combines the precision of surgery with the advantages of transcatheter techniques to treat complex congenital heart diseases in children. By integrating these two approaches in a single, coordinated setting, we offer safer, less invasive solutions for patients who may not be ideal candidates for conventional surgery or catheterization alone.
This program is designed to expand treatment options, reduce procedural risk, and improve outcomes for infants, children, and adolescents with challenging cardiac conditions.
Some congenital heart defects are too complex to be managed effectively with a single approach. Hybrid interventions provide a powerful alternative by allowing surgeons and interventional cardiologists to work together in real time. This approach:
Reduces the need for multiple separate procedures
Minimizes surgical trauma and cardiopulmonary bypass exposure
Improves precision in treating complex anatomy
Offers treatment options for high-risk or fragile patients
Shortens recovery time and hospital stay
Hybrid strategies are particularly valuable for newborns and critically ill children, where less invasive, staged, or combined procedures can significantly improve survival and long-term outcomes. Hybrid techniques enable targeted repairs such as vessel stenting, defect closure, or valve interventions through smaller incisions and reduced procedural stress.
Each patient undergoes detailed imaging and multidisciplinary review to determine the most effective hybrid strategy tailored to their condition.
We perform coordinated interventions in a specialized hybrid operating suite, allowing seamless collaboration between cardiac surgeons and interventional cardiologists.
We provide comprehensive recovery care and ongoing monitoring to ensure optimal outcomes and plan future stages of treatment if needed.
Our team is committed to clear communication, compassionate support, and education throughout every stage from diagnosis and treatment planning to recovery and long-term care.

Pediatric Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation (TPVI)
Our Pediatric Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation (TPVI) Program provides a cutting-edge, minimally invasive alternative to open-heart surgery for children with congenital heart diseases affecting the pulmonary valve and right ventricular outflow tract. Using advanced catheter-based techniques, we restore valve function, improve blood flow, and help children return more quickly to normal activities.
This program is designed to deliver safe, effective, and durable treatment while minimizing the physical and emotional impact of repeated surgeries.
Many children with congenital heart disease require pulmonary valve replacement often more than once during their lifetime. Traditional surgery can carry increased risks and longer recovery times, particularly with repeat procedures. TPVI offers a transformative solution by:
Avoiding open-heart surgery in eligible patients
Reducing hospital stay and accelerating recovery
Restoring normal valve function and improving heart performance
Delaying or preventing the need for additional surgeries
Enhancing quality of life and physical activity levels
Early and timely intervention with TPVI can significantly improve long-term cardiac outcomes.
We conduct detailed imaging and clinical evaluations to determine candidacy for TPVI, ensuring each child receives the most appropriate and effective treatment
Our team performs precise pulmonary valve implantation using minimally invasive catheter-based techniques. Procedures are tailored to each patient’s anatomy for optimal valve positioning and performance.
Each case is managed by a dedicated team of pediatric cardiologists, interventional specialists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and imaging experts to ensure the highest level of safety.
