Scope of the Unit

The unit specializes in empowering patients with both the understanding and the tools to manage their diabetes conditions daily. Education covers diabetes physiology, treatment regimens, blood glucose monitoring, carb counting, exercise, sick day management and complication prevention. The unit also supports families and caregivers, ensuring diabetes management extends beyond the hospital to everyday life.
