Dr. Hamdy is a world-renowned diabetes expert and thought leader who has contributed to shaping many of today’s diabetes guidelines and pioneered innovations in diabetes management. For the past 25 years, he has served as Medical Director at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston and is a Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology at Harvard Medical School. He also leads International Medical Affairs at Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard University.
His groundbreaking work has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Michaela Modan Award of the American Diabetes Association (2015) and the Compassionate Caregiver Award of the Kenneth Schwartz Center. He has been recognized as Boston’s Top Endocrinologist for eight consecutive years and is currently ranked the world’s third most cited physician in diabetes technology.
With over 150 scientific publications, Dr. Hamdy continues to influence clinical practice worldwide and remains at the forefront of advancing diabetes care.
