Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, visited Al-Nas Hospital as part of a series of visits by senior officials and public figures aimed at supporting patients and raising awareness about the hospital’s specialized medical services provided free of charge.
The governor praised the hospital’s medical and humanitarian efforts, expressing his delight at witnessing its outstanding facilities and high level of organization.
During his tour, Dr. Saber highlighted the hospital’s remarkable standards of cleanliness, specialization, and operational efficiency. Although he has visited numerous hospitals, he noted that Al-Nas Hospital stands out due to its advanced specialties and its ability to treat complex and rare medical cases.
He emphasized that one of the hospital’s most remarkable features is its commitment to providing comprehensive medical care free of charge, while also prioritizing patients’ psychological well-being as part of an integrated healthcare approach.
The governor commended the professionalism of all hospital departments, from medical and nursing teams to sterilization, hospitality, kitchen services, and landscaping, describing the institution as a complete model of excellence in specialized healthcare.
He also referenced several inspiring patient success stories, including a child who suffered from a severe medical condition that prevented normal eating and drinking, but who fully recovered after years of treatment at the hospital. Such stories, he noted, reflect the dedication and commitment of the hospital’s staff.
Dr. Saber expressed particular admiration for the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Unit and the Burns Department, both of which provide highly specialized care free of charge.
He further praised the hospital’s Museum of Egyptian Medical History, which documents Egypt’s contributions to medicine from the Pharaonic era through modern times, highlighting the nation’s longstanding leadership in healthcare innovation.
The governor concluded by expressing his appreciation for all hospital employees and voiced his support for the institution’s future expansion plans, which will further enhance its ability to serve patients in need.
For his part, Eng. Ayman Abbas, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Nas Hospital, welcomed the governor and reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to international standards. He noted that the hospital has a total capacity of 600 beds, with 300 currently operational, in addition to 10 operating rooms, 140 intensive care units, four cardiac catheterization laboratories, and 48 outpatient clinics.
